"May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears." - Nelson Mandela
As the year comes to a close and we prepare for the holidays, I'd like to share some insights that may help you cope with the intense energetic shifts taking place. It seems clear that as individuals, as a nation and as a planet, we're at a powerful point of awareness and awakening.
The best spiritual advice I've received for times of major change is: "Be in it, not of it." This concept is part of many spiritual and religious tenets, but here's my interpretation, as guided by my Higher Self.
"Be in it," means staying aware and taking positive actions that help contribute to positive change. "Not of it," means not allowing the strong energies to knock us off our center and sink us into pessimism or fear. The best way I know to achieve that balance is through meditation and connection to inner guidance, which gives us the ability to become "peaceful warriors" and true light-workers in the world.
Here is a link to some Buddhist teachers' responses who were asked to reflect on the turbulent times we're experiencing. I found this very interesting and I hope you do, too.
