Hi, Meaghan! Tell us about your background and credentials in health and wellness.
I have been in the medical field since high school. I started as a nursing assistant at the hospital in the city where I grew up. Always having a passion for the medical field, I moved around in different specialties until I found a deeper level of healing under the care of a chiropractor who performed NeuroEmotional Technique on me. At age 35, I went back to school to study chiropractic so I could learn this technique and help others the way she had helped me. While in chiropractic school, I met many amazing doctors and attended seminars where I found myself becoming very in tune with my gut feelings and intuition. I realized that I had always had these intuitive feelings, but didnt know what it was.
What drew you to The Practical Path Medical Intuitive Training?
One of the techniques I learned while in chiropractic school had a profound effect in reconnecting me to my intuitive gifts, so when a dear friend recommended that I look into the Medical Intuitive Training, I was very intrigued! Growing up in the western medicine world, I did not trust my intuition and therefore ignored it – so this felt uncomfortable to me, yet brought up a fierce curiosity!
How does Medical Intuition support your professional practice?
The skills I learned in The Practical Path’s Practitioner Certification Program have helped me more deeply assess and sift through what may be going on with my patient. Medical intuition allows me to intuitively “see” into a patient's body, helping me to further confirm the proper diagnostic testing, and to better locate the source of the problem. For example, for a patient who was suffering with migraines, Medical Intuition helped me to locate the underlying cause, which linked to a painful emotional loss. I was then able to refer the patient to a therapist who could co-manage care with me, and help my patient through an impactful life experience.
How does Medical Intuition support your personal life?
It has changed the way I trust myself with any decisions I have to make. I have always had an intuitive ability but I didn't know what to do with it! At a young age I noticed my intuition, but I was very insecure about it. Like many intuitive children, I was used to listening to what adults told me to do, even if it didn’t feel “right.” Throughout this program, I found myself facing that conflicted feeling again, and began to trust my intuition and recognize it as the right thing for me. That made all the difference! Now, my intuition proves to be right time and time again. It's a very freeing feeling!
Anything else you'd like to let people know?
I truly believe we all have an inner knowing that can guide us. The more we can nurture and listen to our intuition, the healthier and more fulfilled we can be. In my experience, I have found that many people do not trust their intuitive guidance, just as I hadn't. Empower yourself with experienced teachers like Wendie Colter, to help you expand in ways you didn't know were possible!
