At the turning of the year, it’s customary to reflect on the year that has come to a close. Taking a personal inventory at this time can be an illuminating way to review our recent journeys, and guide our path forward into the coming year.

2023 was a year of great contrast for many - from profound successes and joys, to equally profound challenges.

I like to take a moment to think about the following:

What obstacles did I overcome, or meet with grace?
What achievements or wins can I celebrate?
What was the most important lesson I learned this year?
What was I grateful for this year?
What am I most looking forward to in the year ahead?

At The Practical Path, we have much to be grateful for in 2023. Here are a few of the year’s highlights.

Winning Book News

Essentials of Medical Intuition: A Visionary Path to Wellness was honored with three major awards!

A Silver Award winner of the prestigious Nautilus Book Awards in the category of Mind-Body-Spirit Practices, it also was named winner of two prominent awards – the International Book Awards (IBA), and the American Book Fest Best Book Awards in the category of Health: Alternative Medicine. Our wonderful publisher also released a Turkish language edition in December.

Our Graduating Classes

We had a record number of students enrolled in The Practical Path® Medical Intuitive Training™ in 2023, and we were thrilled to graduate the largest number of Certified Medical intuitive Practitioners (CMIP) to date!

Our students come from every sector of healthcare - medical doctors, nurses, acupuncturists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, massage therapists, health coaches, and more.

We’re incredibly proud of our graduates and our students. Their dedication to expanding and enhancing healthcare with Medical Intuition is truly inspiring.

The Practical Path also welcomed new affiliates to support our graduates in their professional businesses development in marketing, social media support, website development, legal management services, client outreach, practice insurance, and more.

Coming in 2024 - We’re in process with a beautiful new upgrade to our online Student Center. These revisions will assist our students in more efficiently completing their practicum hours and certifications.

New Research on Medical Intuition

The Practical Path partnered with the Institute of Noetic Sciences for a groundbreaking new study on Medical Intuition. Scheduled to launch in early 2024, this unique research pairs The Practical Path graduates with clinicians and their patients.

We anticipate this research having far-reaching implications. The financial and emotional toll of treatment-resistant illnesses is enormous. If it can be shown that clinicians find working with medical intuitives gives them access to relevant information from a low-cost, low-risk addition to their process, integrating medical intuitives may allow for more affordable healthcare and improved patient outcomes.

Events & Appearances

I was delighted to appear on GAIA TV for Regina Meredith’s phenomenal Open Minds show. What a treat it was to spend quality time with this wonderful host and discuss Medical Intuition, intuitive awareness, new developments, and more.

Early in the year, I was featured on the cover of OMTimes Magazine, one of the leading on-line content providers of positivity, wellness and personal empowerment. OMTimes Magazine was created to raise awareness of individuals and organizations that are making a difference in the world.

Dr. Lloyd Costello and I were invited to speak at the University of California San Diego Center for Integrative Medicine Grand Rounds. The participants loved the presentation and we had a fun and lively exchange.

I was excited to be a founding organizer the Consciousness & Healing Initiative’s event, Navigating the Future of Energy Healing: Policy & Practice Insights. This important summit brought together field leaders in legislation and legal considerations to help inform and educate all biofield practitioners.

A bevy of podcasts including Beyond the Reiki Gateway with Andrea Kennedy, Maximum Medicine Radio with Dr. Sharon Martin, the Being Curious Show on AM950 with Kelly and Brian, and an in-depth interview for Energy Magazine with the lovely Katherine Krupka, Director of the Energy Medicine Professional Association.

Ending the year on an enlivening note, The Practical Path had a booth at the annual Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine Conference.

It was gratifying to meet and speak with so many open minded and forward-thinking healthcare providers. I hope you see you at next year’s conference!

In Memoriam

We were deeply saddened to lose our dear Sue Perisi in 2023, beloved mentor, healer and teacher. The Practical Path students and colleagues who worked with Sue were uplifted by her wisdom, humor and positive energy. We are blessed and grateful to have known her.

Intuitive medicine pioneer Daniel Benor, MD, also left us in 2023. His enormous legacy of research, writings, and dedication to the integration of intuition into healthcare continues to inform and guide the field.
